Our Food – A Menu to Savour
The menu at Phở Tiến Thành features a wide array of Vietnamese classics, from traditional pho and Vietnamese coffee to BBQ with vermicelli and stir-fried noodles.
Owner Tuấn Võ comes from south Vietnam (very close to Saigon) from a city called Cần Thơ. Southern Vietnamese cuisine tends to be more sweet, while the middle of the country focuses on spicy dishes and the north often emphasize salty flavours. Phở Tiến Thành’s menu offers a combination of all three regions! Tuấn and his wife & co-owner Lan Lê make sure to try and employ people from all over Vietnam to continue to offer the unique diversity in flavours.
Each dish is made with care, using only the freshest ingredients and authentic herbs and spices. We are known and loved for our rich, flavourful broth and tender, aromatic meats.
A Family Affair
Phở Tiến Thành is not just a restaurant; it’s a story of family, tradition, and passion.
Tuấn left Vietnam in 1985 and arrived in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He found it was too cold, so he headed east to Toronto, Ontario. He worked at various local restaurants until 1995, when he founded Phở Tiến Thành with his family.
To this day most of the staff are still family members. Each dish is crafted with love and care, using recipes passed down through generations. Step into Phở Tiến Thành, and step into our home, where every meal is a celebration of culture and heritage.
A Legacy of Excellence
Our commitment to quality and authenticity has not gone unnoticed. Phở Tiến Thành has been honored with several accolades as a pho favourite of Chef Susur Lee, and most recently being part of the Toronto MICHELIN Guide of recommended restaurants, showcasing our dedication to excellence in every bowl.
